EthanM 514
I know you said something about liking the buffer tube. You should think about getting a full sized one. They make it more reliable and you just use a carbine buffer. The rock river arms tube is cheap and works just like a carbine tube. Something to think about. I know the tube is not there to put against your shoulder but with the longer version that is a consideration. And my vote for handguard is a carbon free float then just run an aimpoint of eotech no irons. That would help keep it super lite. The phase 5 tactical is a regular size and uses standard carbine buffer. I will have to look into that handguard. I was planning on using an aimpoint t1 so I will have to check it out

sccritterkiller 473
Under folder AK is pretty small and no SBR paperwork. Pretty close to the AR pistol with buffer tube I think and certainly a harder hitting round than .223 out of a short barrel. +1 Underfolder is what I use for the situation described. Sdustin 578
the angle in the first pic made the tube look shorter. sorry if i was only going to run a red dot i would get a longer carbon tube for the handguard and cut it with just enough room to attach the flash hider
