Is the Vepr .308 barrel trunnion 22 or 23mm at the barrel journal?

I figure this is a long shot.  Who would take apart a Vepr to find out?  amazing.gif

Yes, I have one.  It's in a working Vepr .308
I want to have a replacement barrel made, but don't know which profile to use.

What do you think that would take? 20,000-30,000 rounds of .308?

Whole lot less than that. 5000 would have your barrel shooting worse. Especially if you used the Russian bimetal jacketed bullets. Your barrel would be smooth bore after 10000 rounds of bimetal.
Some bench rest shooters will trash a barrel before 1000 rounds.

If you cryro treat it I think you will be good to 8000-10000 W/O shooting bimetal.
