You can use your finger tip, or the lever. Using the lever is alot more finger friendly with these installed. Link to post Share on other sites

Garys4598 1,065 Posted September 18, 2013 Report Share Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) I think the extended mag release is terrific (I mounted one on my Saiga IZ-240 rifle). Not something AK "traditionalists" would give a second look at though. If you want a better, more secure fit, it helps if you mark where the three set screws press-up against the rifle's mag release lever and then take a pointed, narrow dremel grinding bit to those three contact points so that the set screws tighten down slightly deeper and have something to "bite" against.
