jmzzl 146
I have a Pelican Travel Vault, an older one, which I think is about the same as the 1750. I bought it used, and someone had cut the foam out for an SKS. I'm going to use it exclusively for my Remington 700, and would like to get replacement foam for it, without paying an arm and a leg. Is there any way to use something else other than the factory foam to replace it? I'm sure you can buy some dense foam sheets from somewhere. I also have long since thrown away the other foam, and I'm not sure how thick of a piece I need. Help would be appreciated, thanks.

sccritterkiller 473
I have found your better off just getting the replacement foam from pelican, especially if your going to to use it to fly...that foam is a lot cheaper than new glass. It sucks to pay that price but you have to consider the alternative. If your going to be the only one handling the case you'll probably be ok..something to think about. This guy used Kaizen foam and did a really nice cutout. I think I'm going to this foam myself... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEcbN85XWAg
