Conscript 99
I finally had a chance to take out the new 23" straight-back out for the first time yesterday, bare with factory iron sights. I had a 91/30 and still have a finn M39 so I already knew what to expect, or so I thought. Zeroing at 50 I had the rear sight as low as it would go and centered for windage, 1st shot hit the 8-ring at 8 o'clockish, adjusted 1 right, hit inside of the 9 at 9 o'clock, adjusted 1 more, center bull. Left it there and started the 100m. I did not adjust anything, just aimed about 2 inches above the bull. Fired at a moderate rate, about 1 per every 1-2 seconds. All of them landed in the black just 1" to the right of the bull, about a 1 1/2" spread. I'm pretty impressed, the 91/30 was minute of target with the same ammo (71 silver tip 148 I think?), the M39 was minute of pie-plate. I expected somewhere in the middle, but my jaw hit the floor. What kind of groups are you guys getting, and was it better than you expected?
WebDevDan 0
I have the same gun as you (23" square 54r), and I haven't done any formal measurements but I do find it pretty dead on balls accurate as far as I can see (75yds is about my limit, I have shit eyesight) with some surplus stuff.
