evil85 16
My spotlight I carry in the truck died so I am interested in a new one. I'm looking for an inexpensive compact cordless LED. Something for spotting deer& coons. I've seen a Stanley in action and its very bright. Runs on AAA batteries too. Wondering if there's anything better for the money. What are you using? SouthernOne 203
I've got a Fenix PD35 that uses a 18650 battery. 850 lm. That is one bright little MF.

TonyRumore 1,332
I have a Fenix RC40. It's rechargable and tosses out 3500 Lumen. It's a lot handier than the antique Q-Beam style. Tony
magsite20 1,664
I've been using one of these / not compact or LED (other than the back up light on top) but it puts out some serious light Vector 10m Candlepower Sport Spot Cordless/rechargeable Spotlight.Ideal For Ableness Failures And Emergencies. storm6490 2,768
Most of the stuff suggested here is way over 100 bucks. If you want a beater to keep in the truck that will shine coons, look into the Stanley rechargeable waterproof 5 watt LED. It is a nice size, waterproof, variable light output, holds a charge if not used for months and has a heck of a nice spotlight considering it's under 40 bucks out the door. You can find these online or at wally world. I keep one in the garage for the wife. She stays away from my lights. I think you will be happy with this cheap and decent light. The key is having good batteries that are rechargeable. This will suit your needs for killing the coon! For about 70 bucks you can get their HID model that is way brighter. It's bigger and better but costs more. Here is a great review from a bunch of people who love flashlights as much as we love guns! http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?226105-Stanley-5-Watt-LED-Spotlight Edited October 30, 2013 by Stryker0946

This is about 3x more powerful http://www.ebay.com/itm/1000LM-CREE-XML-T6-LED-UltraFire-C8-18650-Flashlight-Torch-Charger-2x-Battery-/360735901362?pt=US_Flashlights&hash=item53fd8906b2
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
I cant say enough good things about this guy. On a full charge I have left this on for 4 days straight and it still was working. Damn impressive. the 20v Lithium battery holds a charge for a long long long time. I have had this for over a year now and have only had to charge it 3 times. that includes the 4 day test. Flashlight is 110 lumens which in conjunction with the lens is blinding bright. I can shine on the bottom of clouds at night. $40 for the flashlight, $40 for the battery.
Spartacus 1,619
I like the C. Crane spotlight. Not in the same league as the Fenix lights, but it's also only $40 and uses C batteries. http://www.ccrane.com/lights/led-flashlights/cc-spot-spotlight.aspx#
evil85 16
Thanks stryker. That link helped. That Stanley looks to be the perfect beater.
Spartacus 1,619
The CC Spot is half the price of the Stanley (with it's battery) and more lumens. NVM,.... I guess I was looking at the Dewalt. Still, I hate rechargeable batteries. I'd prefer to have the CC Spot in the truck with spare C batteries.
