Mopar14889 1 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 I found a place that has Romanian 22lr training ak parts kits with original barrels installed. I was thinking about ordering one but I have never seen a wasr22 or any other .22 Ak's. I figure I could use any flat or pre bent shell the only thing I'm unsure of is the left rail with the extractor. Does anyone have one they can take a pic of or a measurement compared to say a 74 or 5.45 saiga left rail? Thanks for any help. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
mancat 2,368 Posted November 2, 2013 Report Share Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) http://www.theakforum.net/forums/83-wasr-22/161324-wasr-22-receiver-rails.html looks like the .22lr carrier rides on a machined insert, which has the .22lr ejector on it. if you use a flat or prebent receiver, you can cut the receivef stamped rail ejector off. thinking about buying a kit. It seems that the ejector is part of a machined block. The first kits they got didn't come with them but supposedly they do now. I just emailed them so well see.
