Joe6801 2
I have a Saiga 7.62 x 39 and recently installed a RAM extended magazine release. Doing so was a pain, royal pain that I never wished to do again. Due to my stupidity, I filed the magazine latch too much, now rounds don't chamber every time, I need to replaced the extended mag release/latch with a new one. The reason it was so difficulty was due to the springs extreme tension when compressed. It was inhuman! Is there an AK magazine spring that does not required Hercules like strength to install yet still give positive tension against the magazine?
dashowdy 141
no they are all that tight, I found watching tutorials really helped as I have the same catch and it was a bitch to get in the first time. Best thing is having a slave pin to help get one side in and run the post through the other.

dashowdy 141
That should work, there is nothing I would call easy about installing mag catches unless you are a seasoned vet at it.
