I have had this round for a long time now    a friend found it and gave it to me   there are no markings on it.   the lead is corroded away and im just trying to figure out maby how old it might  be and where it was from

If I recall correctly the 45/60 was made to be able to use their platform designed mainly as a pistol caliber carbine with a larger round. Shortly thereafter they made a larger action which could lift and chamber a larger round so it became obsolete.

 

I might have my facts wrong though so don't take my word for it.
