Superhawk138 202
Probably the same group who hit the Bass Pro in Macon earlier this year
Road Warrior 8
That's what the shop owner gets for not having steel cages bolted to the ground/wall, sad but true. And he must not have a very legit security system, either that or he could have set the whole thing up, insurance money and what not (clearly ridiculous speculation but still possible). Seems like this was a really easy score for these guys, it should be way harder to rob a gun shop....

I know in some states gun shops are required to be reinforced before they get their permit to be a gun shop. Theres not many around here that dont look like a fortress. Maybe florida is different. Wolverine 10,360
It seems strange that the owner did not do more of an assessment on security of his shop and the weapons in it. That was like a ripe plum waiting to be picked. The worst part is those guns will wind up in the hands of people who belong behind bars or six feet under. It is also bad press for legitimate gun owners as anti's will argue if they were not there in the shop to begin with the criminals could not have plucked them for their dirty deeds. I hope they find the guys that did this and put them away.
SouthernOne 203
What always gets me is that most places put the security cameras in places where you can only see the top of a perp's head. Geez, put a baseball cap on and it only records the logo of your favorite team.
Ronin38 2,117
They generally mount the cameras up high so that they can't be damaged or covered easily. I agree, that a hidden camera down near countertop height would be good too.
