Salmonking 149
It's a better alternative to the lightning bolt IMO, but I don't think either are really needed provided that you train properly.
Sdustin 578
I like for people to see my custom rifles and wonder "whats that" its better than any left side charging handle ive seen.
Squishy 1,149
This is why I like the AK platform...one of the few times being left handed actually worked out (for me that is...).
JC GoF 70
I cant see how to get past the heat. I love the left side lighting bolt that I have, but that thing would get red hot.
haugpatr 972
Price?
DLT 1,646
Prefer the linch system.
Sdustin 578
The thing with this vs the linch is you can lock the bolt back. Thus cool looking slap reloads like the movies. Haha. And I haven't seen a price. As far as heat I don't actually fire my weapon so thats a non issue.

Sdustin 578
Haha joke. I don't thing it would get too hot to handle.

banshee 69
I cant see how to get past the heat. I love the left side lighting bolt that I have, but that thing would get red hot. I was thinking the same thing
Sdustin 578
with the linch you cant lock the bolt back
Nailbomb 10,221
Unless you kept the factory bolt hold open...
Sdustin 578
Yeeea but that would require two hands to lock it and you also cant use a left side mount with the linch or do the cool slap the handle thing.
gunfun 3,931
It's an answer for a question no one asked. Keep the HK stuff on the HK's..... Apparently, I am no-one. I like the FAL method too, and the simple reciprocating left side handle welded to the carrier too. A bit of mining here will find that each of those are questions that a lot of other nobodies have been asking. Besides, AKs are meant for mid-small 30 caliber bullets. Keep that 12 ga out of my AK and leave it in your 870....

Its a good thing and id like to have ut.
6500rpm 670
Vote with your $$$ if you like it, I'm still on the fence about having my hand that close to the heat source. On the HK it's a non issue, once I see a video of some mag dumps and reloads I'd be more inclined to believe. Even on the full length HK I'm not sure I like the placement that far up. Gunfxr's FAL style left side charger seems like the best option I've seen as far as placement and operation. I have 2 HK clones and an ADCOR AR with a side charger that I still prefer to use the rear charging handle on.
