bunkerguy 0
Any reason why not? Would you buy one? Could a Conversion kit be made?
pedal2alloy 206
High cost, high difficulty, low demand and no linked 12g a
haugpatr 972
I tried to win Mega Millions this week but it didn't work out for me, therefore my business plans are on indefinate hold right now.
brickfield mfg 86
A scaled down MK19 in 12ga would be fun!
mscottrogers 56
have your searched the forum. it was done once
Eric Pate 478
Same reason a belt-fed (insert weapon here) is not being made. Pedal2alloy nailed it. Engineering costs are too high, potential market is too small. A guy did a prototype a few years back. Saw it at The Creek. Ran on a registered M16 lower IIRC, always had reliability issues. Not sure what became of it.
Nephilim7 107
You saw it in action?!? I thought that thing was a Photo Shop gag... Cool, but not practical for anything but range fun. Go for it OP!!!
brickfield mfg 86
The "belt fed" Saiga S-12 that debuted a few years ago (on April 1st) was a joke/hoax perpetrated by a vendor on this forum with a good sense of humor... The one built on an AR lower is real, and sort of works... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iX7vwivR6cE
Capt Nemo 882
Rimmed ammo is terrible for belting. If it was more like a rifle cartridge, then yeah, 12 ga could be reliably belt fed. Would love a 12 ga belt fed in an anti-aircraft chair for duck hunting. That would make things interesting!
ec4321 113
Just add belt fed ducks and you have yourself one hell of a weekend.

You should tell the Russians that they've been doing it wrong. Rimmed ammo works in belts fine, just not with disintegrating, push-through-type links.
Capt Nemo 882
^^^True! But it adds more complexity, as you have to pull the round out of the belt and then chamber it. More handling, more chance of jam.
XdamagedX 248
speaking of... I found this on Instagram and it made me giggle. Net commandos know no shame.

Eric Pate 478
Browning 1919 works this way too. One advantage of this arrangement is shorter receiver length due to the feed tray being positioned above the barrel.
