gunfun 3,931
Pretty sweet. Maybe shoot it a bit before deciding about the trigger? Put that money into ammo...

Sdustin 578
Pretty sweet needs some AAC on the bang end though.
jdtravers 637
Machine/Install a Tactical Bolt Knob, a new trigger and the Remington 700 SPS/AAC will definitely shoot! The new Remington X Mark Pro triggers do not adjust as well as the old ones. Bolt Knob will give more leverage and keep your thumb from hitting the scope.
gunfun 3,931
Since this is the tacticool model and all of that, it seems like everyone wants the fancy knob. Why doesn't Rem or at least AAC put them there in the first place?
jdtravers 637
Same reason people don't do what you want them to:) Same reason Saiga shotguns and other firearms are not manufactured with everything you want on them. They don't want to change production parts. The will eventually, just a matter of time. AAC does not build receivers, they are owned by Remington. Remington started building the Target/Tactical Model with the Bolt Knob. Many manufactures of High End Receivers are made with the Extended Bolt Knobs. The extended knob is all about function not fancy!!!! If you ever shot a rifle with a large tube you would understand. Also it is much faster to cycle the bolt. Actually the guns are built for function, the look is just a by-product. Not the other way around. Jack
