About 2006 they increased the amount of tax you would have to pay if you were to bring in a vehicle from overseas. I forget the amount but everything was looked at. For instance it was a higher tax for a 6cyl over a 4 and an 8cyl was higher still. Then, are there power windows/ mirrors...etc...etc....every additional option raised the tax price.
