DLT 1,646
Why doesn't anyone make a reproduction of this pistol? I'm sure mechanically they are a pita, but still, they are rather unique and elegant looking.
IndyArms 10,186
Good question!
DLT 1,646
And I am not talking about no 22lr version either. Make it a 9mm.
Arik 565
They do but its not cheap so you wont see it on gunbroker or on any forum. Its a one man show and he makes only a few a year, all by hand and some are in the 45acp cal. We're talking $20k per handgun. Overall Lugers are not expansive if you dont mind a shooter and not a collector. I bought one 4 years ago for $375. It was re blued and had prior pitting on one side and no import marks but it was a nice little shooter. Had my fun then sold it for about the same price
DLT 1,646
$375 isn't bad. I just find it hard to believe that with all the cnc equipment out there now, that nobody is making these. Hell, not even a mim parts Luger copy. Nothing.
Shandlanos 1,470
In short, nobody is mass producing them because it takes a lot of machine time and right now original Luger pistols are obtainable for less than it would cost to produce them. They're nifty-looking pistols, but the toggle system is an early, unreliable and fragile design. I don't see much point to reproducing them while there are still originals available fairly readily on the market.
thebuns1 4,323
Too finicky for my taste. I love the look though. And I'd rather have an original vs. A knock off.
beefcakeb99 572
The luger had many reproductions throughout the 20th century... And as he said you can get them at any pistol price range from $300ish-20k
Gunfanatic 221
Stoeger imported some stainless 9mm reproductions. The only problem is, as stated before, they cost more than an original shooter grade P08.

DLT 1,646
Damn, those lugers make tokarevs look like rocks in simplicity. But rocks do beat scissors.
