On December 23rd, 2013,
Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov, the world famous firearms designer, the creator of the AK-47, and strong supporter of our 2nd amendment and individual’s rights, passed away. In the time since his passing, the Kalashnikov family took a moment to reach out to the US gun community through Arsenal, Inc., to create a memorial in his honor. A memorial was set up at the SHOT Show earlier this month to commemorate M. T. Kalashnikov’s life and work. A special memorial book was made available that has been signed by senators, NRA officials, SHOT Show celebrities, and gun enthusiasts from around the world.

In response to the overwhelming request of the public, who were not able to attend the SHOT Show and take part in this historic event, K-Var Corp, in conjunction with Arsenal, Inc., and The Peacemaker Firearms, would like to invite our local gun enthusiasts and all who are visiting the Las Vegas Area on January 31st and February 1st, to also take part in this memorial. This Friday and Saturday only, visit The Peacemaker Firearms to place your condolences in the memorial book and join us in wishing a fond farewell to our friend, ingenuous designer, and historic figure.

At the close of this final memorial, the memorial book will be sent to Russia to be placed in the Kalashnikov Museum for all to see. Visitors to the final memorial at The Peacemaker Firearms will be able to view historic rifles and information on M. T. Kalashnikov’s life and work. Also, a selection of current models of AK variant rifles will be on display and available to the public.
