I need to cover something very important as it has come to my attention that the majority of people emailing wanting work done are not taking the time to actually read the ad for our bolt group and trigger group re-profile & polish service.

This ad...  http://forum.saiga-1...-extra-waiting/

The ad is long yes...  That is for good reason. There is a LOT to the service we are offering and all of it is important to understand before sending emails to inquire about the service and wanting to know where to ship the parts. Quickly scanning (or scrolling) over the ad then sending us a message asking all the how, the why, the how much, the how long, and every other question already covered in the ad is very counter productive. Not only does it waste lots of our time and your time, but it is compounded by the fact that every time I have to sit down at the computer to answer another question, that is time I have to take away from actually working on the other customers parts who are in line right in front of you. The whole reason I spent as much time as I did covering every last thing I could think of in the ad, was so I don't have to go over ALL that information with each and every customer who asks about the service.

At least 99% of all the questions I spend hours a day sometimes answering one on one, are RIGHT THERE in the ad. Please just read the whole thing before emailing to ask?

Please???

I even get emails like "How much and how long?"  Yes literally that is all they say....  eyes_droped.gif

Let's just say I answer with "$210 and 2 weeks"

What do ya think is gonna happen right after that? The guy will either go away never having a clue what all he missed because he thinks that's too much money for simply making his bolt shiny, or worse, I will get the honor of spending the rest of the day going back & forth playing 20 questions instead of getting a couple of whole jobs done? Then even after that some (at least half) don't even follow through with an order.

Look guys really.... I am performing a top shelf service here that is unsurpassed anywhere. I am also able to get people's parts back to them faster than most people expect (two weeks to a month average, depending on what all is being done...with some shipping back out as fast a day or two). To keep that up I need every minute of my time at work spent actually working in the shop. Anyone who has ever dealt with me knows I go to great lengths and far beyond to help my customers as much as possible one on one, including calling them or taking calls when necessary to explain to them how to disassemble or reassemble their weapon  (like especially FCG remove / replace). I don't mind this at all and do it often. Just please do us a favor when inquiring about and ordering the service, by reading the details before asking the questions. Then me or even Racegal can easily help with anything else in a quick email and respond with a shipping address.

After that we really appreciate if you just hang back and wait to hear back from us with your tracking info. We will let you know as soon as your parts arrive here, then when they are ready to ship back you will receive a tracking number. No need to email and check on progress please. We do our absolute best to get everyone's order done as fast as possible and this will help a lot with keeping the work flying out the door.

Thank you for your consideration and sorry if this sounds grumpy. We just have to find a way to cut down on all the wasted time in order to turn parts around ASAP and with the best quality by not getting rushed.

 Shannon

Shannon,
Just a thought. Put the short cost summary and shipping instructions first on you ad instead of at the bottom of the post.

Get the most commonly asked questions addressed right up front.

Thanks Dave I thought about that. Only problem with that is, they will look at the $$$ involved and leave without even bothering to see what they actually stand to gain from the service. I talk to guys every day who are pinching every last penny because by the time they finally admit to themselves that gun they just spent over a grand on dolling it up with all the extra crap hanging off it and it still won't work. They are so frustrated by then the cost of doing what they should have done FIRST really scares the crap out of them. IDK man... It's the same reason I am hesitant to quote a direct price before I'm sure they understand how much they are really getting. It's difficult.

Usually I look to see how much it costs, then I see what that covers. Just a thought.

Hey works for me. I'll edit the post to show all the costs and shipping info right at the front. Then if people still want their firearm as smooth and reliable as it can possibly get they will hopefully check out what all comes with that package.

I really appreciate the feedback guys. I need to keep things as transparent and obvious as possible while making sure to get the point across to the new guys how beneficial the service is.

Thank you.

A short analogy if you will...

Guys, look at your saiga 12 like a used car you just bought to restore.   You have lots and lots of options, the canvas is blank but if you bought it turn it into a hot rod you have to pop the hood and rebuild the engine.

Saiga 12 is the same way, if you want it to "run" smoothly and "start" every time you pull the trigger and accelerate to "60 in 4 seconds" it is undeniable that you have to have your bolt, trigger and BCG reworked (polished) /(tuned) for maximum performance.  Sure, you can dress up (paint) the outside, hang all kinds of "cool factors" on it but the internals are stil "factory built".  So, do you want it to "run" like a hot rod or "look like a hot rod" at the end of the day $210 and 2 weeks will get you a lot further down the road literally than a collapsible stock, quad rail and an optic... Just my two cents from experience been down both roads with multiple calibers of weapons, it's whats on the inside that counts when it comes to a semi automatic weapons system.

Thank you. This is an excellent anology. I have often done the same thing when posting in threads here. Comparing the Saiga 12 to a high performance car is spot on. By purchasing one you have already chosen the Mustang or Camaro over the basic Escort or Chevette (pardon my reference to older cars as I pay zero attention to the lower end new cars so not sure what to fill in that blank with... but you get the point)?

So the main difference then becomes do you want the Mustang LX or the GT? Or even deeper into it the SVT Cobra, Shelby, or Saleen compared to the off the showroom floor GT? Or if you get the Camaro do you want a run of the mill 6 cyl grandma car or do you want an ass stomping SS? Small block or go all out for a built 454?

Sure you can put the same stripe kit, spoilers, scoops, & ground effects on any of them but do you wanna spend all that money to be a poser or would you actually rather have a sleeper first that has the balls to do like you want to do? Then once it's actually running good and you aren't ashamed to show up at the track ("range") with it around your buddies, you can THEN buy some nice wheels and all that cosmetic stuff?

Pop the damn hood the very first day and take care of BUSINESS. Then after you have something actually worthy of spending more money dressing up hey go for it! What it all boils down to is PERFORMANCE. You can either have the best possible performance or settle for what it came like out of the box.... with maybe a few little things in there to try and trick it into running better. Why not nip all of it in the bud right out of the gate and have the thing "ported & polished", "balanced & blueprinted", etc?
