Wood stock and hand guard

Recommended Posts

Rhineland Arms in Texas makes wood "Scout Rifle" stocks in maple and walnut.  I bought the walnut handguard for my Saiga.  The rear stock was too expensive, so I bought a surplus Romanian AK stock from Apex Gun Parts and trimmed it to fit.

Here is the link for Rhineland.

It looks like the vendor that used to carry the factory wood stocks doesn't anymore.

My google-fu is weak tonight and I'm not finding any other leads for factory setups.  Its a shame that Battlerifle's stuff isn't more available.

FWIW, I love the feel of the stock Saiga stock and hand guard, but also like the look of wood. I bid on a couple wood sets on Ebay and GB recently but lost. I have been thinking of taking my durable polymer stocks and having them hydrodipped in a wood theme. My gunsmith does an amazing job, and the patterns look just like real wood. Just an option since Saiga wood stocks are hard to find. Alternative for us in states with stupid gun laws fearing black rifles.
