SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
Would this be legal if I hooked these 2 together? By themselves they are legal , but if I were to hook them together? I know this monster would weigh about 20 lbs but it would be one bad ass MF'er. I would probably have to get some sort of stamp I guess. MKA 1919 on top, M92 on bottom. Edited March 7, 2014 by SHOTGUN MESSIAH
poolingmyignorance 2,191
It'd be an SBR.
SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
So all I would have to do is SBR the M92 and I'm good to go? All I really need is an adapter to hook the picatinny rails together. Edited March 7, 2014 by SHOTGUN MESSIAH
Spartacus 1,619
Kind of funny, but you'd kill the effectiveness of both of them that way. Far better to use the right slings to lug them both around.
gunman1 1,753
But it's "tacticool"

There sure wouldn't be no muzzle rise anywhere. maybe muzzle fall and they are both short range anyways. Edited March 7, 2014 by SHOTGUN MESSIAH
Spartacus 1,619
Just too heavy and awkward. Try it out at a private range sometime, your accuracy will suck. *** Just my non-expert opinion. *** Edited March 7, 2014 by Spartacus
csspecs 1,987
I have joked about getting a 27" vepr .308 and a full length Saiga-12 and bolting them together. It would weigh 20+ pounds, but cool is everything.... Honestly, SBR the pistol and keep it on a sling.

SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
where is the laser?! I think it's the thing in-between the desert eagle and knife. So it is in the right spot you have to admit mine is very practical and easily done. You just have to man handle the beast and show it who is boss. vulcan16 971
The modified gun may be legal.......but whatever you're smoking to come up with that idea isn't.
XD45 7,124
Needs more scopes and lights and lasers. And a bottle opener and a compass. Edited March 7, 2014 by Darth Saigus
Ronin38 2,117
Just too heavy and awkward. I think the space where the pistol grip should be on the rifle is a perfect spot to fabricate a hard-point mount. Then you could mount it on a vehicle and not worry about the weight. poolingmyignorance 2,191
Remember Red Jacket did this years back and called it the "master key". When you pull the trigger the gun actually says "ebba bin dun befo!"
Eric Pate 478
As long as you're only doing this as a joke/range toy and do not seriously believe that it offers any true advantages over either single weapon, I say go for it. When you get tired of shouldering it you will still have a registered M92 SBR to play with. This'll do it: $60 for 6" rail adapter. BTW just to clarify, the Masterkey system was developed by KAC for SOC and fits a pump-action 870 under an M4. The initial success of this system led to the development of the M26 MASS. Will, however, just slapped an un-converted S12 SBS under there.
akastormi 617
You want to slap something useful under an AR, do what I did years ago.. I mounted a Mossberg 500 under it. Worked well, the 30 rd AR mag became a makeshift PG for the shotty.

Try it out at a private range sometime, your accuracy will suck. your talking to a guy who shoots his 40lb 50 BMG standing up. but not for very long. So bolt them together and hang them from the .50. You'll need a stand, but you'll do short, medium and long range covered. Eehh don't forget the laser.

BpS12 512
As pointed out, you're backwards. Long barreled rifle on top for range and sbs'd shotty on bottom for cqb. Bullpup the lower weapon and you'll be better off. We talked about this a few years ago and iirc we determined it to be an AOW. My thought was to bullpup both the rifle and the sbs shotty. Voltia 375
Those rails are not designed for that. It's one thing to have a light accessory (the puns!) on a rail which will not have much KE due to lack of weight, but, when a weapon is hanging off another one's rails, firing it will put tremendous stress on the attachment. Also, your trigger finger will get hurt unless your trigger hand has a place for it to go. Strongly recommend carrying a sidearm, multiple primary mags, and getting good, as opposed to Frankensteining shit. There's a lot of things not done in the gun world. Most have been tried and are bad. A few are revolutionary and good.
