Should read Romanian AES 10-B heavy barrel is back in the states. Edited April 7, 2014 by Spacehog
Shandlanos 1,470
Nice! They're probably brought in by Century - I'd like to get one, but I'll hold off and see if anyone else offers them at a lower price. Last time they were in the country they were as cheap as I'd seen them in years, $450 from at least one online company.
Spacehog 2,218
I checked all the other main sights before placing my order. No dice as of yet. Didn't know how many more where coming in, (Heck I had heard no more imports of this rifle) so I bit the bullet and placed the order. My guess is they will show up at Centerfire an J&G as well. Good hunting!
Shandlanos 1,470
Thanks man!I really appreciate the heads-up.I may end up missing out on this round. I just put a milled MAK-90 on layaway, really shouldn't be investing in another AK until that's paid off.
Spacehog 2,218
There is nothing wrong with a milled Mak 90 either. Very nice. I do not know the story on the current batch of AES 10-Bs that Classic is selling. They may be an original shipment that got held up, with no more to follow, or Century might be importing them again from Cugir. In which case I probably just over paid by $100. Either way, I am just glad I finally found one, and if it lives up to the reviews is worth the $699.
haugpatr 972
They always sell out at $699, so I would not anticipate a price drop. The ones that recently sold for $499 had no bipod. $699 is a good deal IMHO, the time to buy something is when you see it for sale.
mancat 2,368
If you can get them with original bipod anywhere between 500-600 you're still getting a great deal on the closest thing you'll ever see to a genuine RPK south of $1500 Arsenal Bulgarians.
Shandlanos 1,470
Centerfire Systems now has them without the bipod and carry handle for $499.99 shipped.

ETA I just checked out the deal at Centerfire, and am still happy that I have the complete rifle on the way. It is odd that they have the carry handle and bipod removed. What is even more odd is they would not even touch up the barrel where the bipod was removed and leave it in the white like that. mancat 2,368
it's not in the white - that area is chromed to resist corrosion that could seize up the bipod.
DrThunder88 912
I was really hoping to do something sensible with my tax refund...
