Is this America's future?

Recommended Posts

Our economy is many times larger. It will be a much more ugly fall. I have visions of the movie The Purge, on steroids, with grids down.

"It's pretty tough to be successful in a nation where the president says he doesn't like rich people.  And where the taxes keep going higher and higher."

Yeah, that must be rough.

I just hope it is not too late to reverse it! Unfortunately anyone who even suggests slowing it down gets crucified by the media. The sad thing is I personally know four people who have worked the system all of their lives. Only "working" at a job occasionally for extra money or just long enough to qualify for unemployment before they figured out how to get on disability. Back when we had state mental hospitals it was not so enticing to get on disability for a "mental problem" and physical disability had to be actually proved!

Its by design. Many of the taxes in Europe are flat out bullshit. Welcome to the new age. Its only a matter of time before it gets to this level over here. It wont be pretty, and its unavoidable at this point.

The current regime looks to Europe as their utopian model, it is exactly what obutfuker used in his first campaign.

Good post Dogster.

When this thread disappears, look for it in Political.

Get's moved to the appropriate sub forum (as per our instructions) or disappears?

Move & disappear, they have different meanings..

perhaps we should leave this here.. as the same thing is happening to this very forum..

folks complain about the Vendors only rule.. driving off the very folks who founded and created the Saiga conversion & aftermarket.

The lifesblood of the forum itself...

The city of Detroit is the canary in the coal mine. That level of devastation is already spreading, Camden NJ is a great example.

Point taken Juggs.

Is there any consideration to the requests to move Political up out of the basement though?

I can bring it up in the admin section.

Personally, I don't care where threads are, Minimal drama is my only desire..

Actually, I did not even consider the Political section, as General Discussion clearly says, "Any topic is welcome here". But if that's where folks feel it belongs, so be it.

No worries, around the 2008 election had this place where it was hard to find a thread on saigas.. and folks would let their arguments spill into other threads in every sub forum.. the chaos needed to be contained.. Was getting hard to find post about guns on a gun forum...

again, don't matter to me so long as folks keep it drama free...

Don't be silly.  Books have been replaced with electronic media.  And that can be shut off with a flip of the switch.  As in Executive Order 13618.

US President issues Executive Order that gives him control of the internet

Without even the faintest toot of a fanfare, President Barack Obama has issued an Executive Order that outlines an extreme level of communications preparedness in case of crisis or emergency, including the ability to take over any communication network, including the internet.

Can you think of any other communication networks that might need to be taken over in an emergency?  Like those pesky cell networks.  It's not that they will take away all communication to control us.  Oh no!  Of course not!  It's just that the government will need those networks for themselves.  It's for our own good.

well I'm not rich or young so I'm not ready to flee but I don't see it doing any good to go elsewhere. the poor, old, and the needy travel too and they're going to go where there is something to get or get away from including taxes.

Will not happen! We have to many guns an ammo. Detroit is their poster child and they cannot run from that. "for society to work people must work"

Down here we have our little Detroit's and they stay little.
