Bretonmaitre 36
I ordered the M92 Pap Krink quad rail from Midwest Industries. I received it today. When I opened the box and tried to install the rail, I found that it is too long for the gun. In other words, the rail is so long that I cannot close the hand guard retainer enough so that it locks. In the M92, the hand guard retainer is supposed to slide back towards the back of the gun until it hits a depression in the barrel where it can be tightened. It cannot be tightened without pulling it back until it hits the depression in the barrel. In the last two pictures you can see that the rail is backed against the receiver and the hand guard retainer is also snug against the rail, but it needs to come back another quarter inch or so to engage the depression in the barrel so I can tighten it. Am I doing something wrong, or did I get the wrong rail?
