mikego_34 1
I was wondering what mechanism you need to get the buttstock to fold to the left side of the saiga 12? Just about to do the conversion and would rather it fold to the left vs the right side.
HarvKY 72
Depends what style buttstock you want to use, ...and how much work/money you want to put into it. Harv
RED333 1,025
I have an ATI side fold that folds to the left side. As a correct handed shooter I like it a LOT and it works great.
saiga12conversions.com 13
Unless you remove the optics mount rail from the left side or the receiver, it will keep a left-folder from folding all the way shut...that is why most of them fold to the right. There may be some exceptions out there though. Just something to think about...

There may be some exceptions out there though. Just something to think about... Unless you go with an AK100, or triangle folder. Those are expensive and fairly hard to pull off though. I love the one on my 74m, very solid stock.

Kind of like the button on thw bottom.

evlblkwpnz 3,418
I am not aware of any common left folding stock that will be impeded by the optic mount.

Sdustin 578
get an ace folding stock with the non button version it doesnt lock folded but its actually better that way i think. i have this set up on my saiga 308 and it doesnt hit the rail, but you cant install or remove an optic with the stock on.
