Photoguy 202
Went to the range yesterday, and started with Remington Sluggers. Went through 5 rounds before the trigger ceased to reset. Had to manually pull the trigger back. Gas had been set to 1, based on a thread I read here. Filled mags up with Remington Buckshot 00. 25 rounds later, no problems. Just a warm, fuzzy feeling after a 10 round mag dump to top it off. My thought is that I should have set the plug at 2 with slugs. I haven't been out with it in about a year, so I was rusty on knowledge I should have known. Thoughts?

gunfun 3,931
This is not an ammo issue. it is a trigger group issue. Often you will find a burr or some paint where the disconnector interfaces with the hammer wing. Clean those up and your problem is likely to go away. They should be polished anyway for a nice trigger feel.
poolingmyignorance 2,191
Yup. There is usually a little seam from the casting on the hammer flange, it likes to snag the disconnect from time to time. Smooth it down and most likely your problem will be solved. Check your hammer spring legs too.

Run and Gun 25
Also, check to make sure the pistol grip is not rubbing the trigger causing reset issues.
