Doug Hartley 526
I went down to Vegas and shot the MG Nationals with the staff then worked Stage 1. Here is a review of my match. Thanks for looking. Doug
TAT2 0
Nice review Doug. Overall i thought it was a great match. Good stages. Squad scheduling could have been better. Too much sitting around. BTW... How are you running your Saiga mags for reloads? Leg pouch? T
Doug Hartley 526
I've been using a leg pouch I bought from The Vest Guy who used to be a business member here. I like it better than belt clips even though I have them on most of my mags. Doug
TAT2 0
Thanks Doug! Yeah I saw a lot of guys with belt clips running and holding on to their mags..... T
TAT2 0
Doug, What size Vest Guy pouch do you use? I am wanting to run 12 round mags. But I assume you not not use the flap. I was thinking a 10 round pouch would be deep enough, yet allow enough exposed to grab. Thanks! T
Doug Hartley 526
I think I got the 8 round size with no flap. I wanted the mags to stick out far enough to be easy to grab. I even put my 20round mag in there sometimes when I want to start with a 12 and then load into the 20. Never had a mag fall out. Doug
TAT2 0
Excellent! Thanks again! T
Flatland Shooter 22
I know this is an old thread but it does seem to be the appropriate place. This evening the Outdoor channel had a show that highlighted the USPSA 2014 Multigun Nationals. It featured several top shooters over several stages. One thing that caught my eye was Taran Butler running a Saiga 12 in Open. I checked his business website and do not see that he works on them. It might have been a one time thing for Taran, but its good to see the big boys running mag fed shotguns. Edited March 5, 2015 by Flatland Shooter
gunfun 3,931
Mostly it seems like the top tier runs what they are paid to run.
Flatland Shooter 22
Makes sense. I did notice that his Saiga had a Benelli sticker on the barrel. Thought that was humorous.
gunfun 3,931
That is funny.
