tbryanh 11
I used one of the handguard retaining brackets from Carolina Shooters Supply. http://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/product_p/dph-large-bracket.htm http://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/product_p/css-bracket-ak.htm http://www.carolinashooterssupply.com/product_p/css-bracket-308.htm Seems like low quality pot metal. I am wondering how long it might last? Anything better available?
Sdustin 578
I've got a dinzag lower retainer on my 308 it's got set screws and I drilled small spots in the barrel to ensure it doesn't move and I haven't had any problems. But if your going to remove the sight and thread the barrel you might as well go ahead and remove the gas block and mill or drem the barrel and install an actual ak lower handguard retainer
flash2006 7
The Dinzag retainer is a solid piece. I'll second Ak Monty's advice.
thebuns1 4,323
Theres a good chance that you wont have to mill or dremel the barrel to install the LHG retainer.
