beefcakeb99 572 Posted June 1, 2014 Report Share Posted June 1, 2014 I have two 5.45 saiga and one has a vented gas block the other does not. I've tried and found no reasoning behind this but it's obvious they came both ways. But as far as I'm aware there are no modern vented gas tubes, that was an ak47 or akm thing. Who knows but I'd go with non-vented since your gas block has holes but your gas tube does not. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Edward_Teach72 2 Posted June 1, 2014 Author Report Share Posted June 1, 2014 thanks for the insight i am starting to think that i will need the non vented ultimak rail, i honestly thought that building something off of the Saiga would be a little easier (and dont get me wrong it is not all that difficult) but with all these people jumping on AR's it almost seems like AK's and AK info has become taboo for a while only to start making a comeback..
