Sdustin 578
Watch out for those unitna mags. They will break. I've owned 7 two 3 packs and one replacement for the first one that broke. Out of those I've had Three break Did your gunsmith drill holes in the receiver to mount the internal block?

Thanks for the tip on the mags. Not sure if he drilled holes for the block. is there a way to check?
Sdustin 578
Well it appears you have two extra holes with machine button screws on each side of the receiver. The internal blocks are designed to fit all the saiga rifles. All other rifles except the 308 have dual hammer and trigger pins and once converted you are left with two holes in either side of the receiver. Im running an internal block but just used the one screw and pistol grip but to retain the block I haven't had any issues. I know a lot of people weld up the holes on other saigas but you ended up adding them.

And it isn't like an AK doesn't already have plenty of warts to begin with. On my .308, I had a CNC Warrior internal block that had a little sideways play, so I drilled and tapped the sides like the block shown above has, but instead of drilling the receiver, I installed setscrews on the inside to take up the extra space. It's solid now.
Sdustin 578
I have a texas ak designs internal block and it fits solid. It's retained by the standard top screw the tang is cut off, the grip bolt also holds the stock adapter in place. Also the grip bolt I'm using its a tapco plastic coated threaded insert, its holding fine no movement. The polymer grip bolt was a little big and I filed it to fit, that may have helped any looseness in the adapter? I'm also using the medium length skeleton stock, it's light weight,a heavier stock may exacerbate any play the adapter had.
