goldenpony 61
What are your opinions? Good addition, or skip it? How about folding vs. fixed? Do they make handling the gun awkward? Edited June 28, 2014 by goldenpony
james lambert 3,059
I dont like them, they get in my way in close quarters. I have friends that just have to have them, Its what works for you that is important, not an opinion from a stranger
evlblkwpnz 3,418
The mag makes a great vert grip and having your hand on it already makes the mag change a little faster. With the hand on the mag and the elbows down, the weapon is easier to control under rapid fire if the rest of your posture and stance checks out.

cscharlie 107
I like using the magpul vert grip when running an MD20 drum.
jekbrown 14
Don't like them on most guns. That said, if the gun has significant recoil, then I kind of do like them. Helps me reacquire sight picture faster when dumping 3" slugs on my S12. Edited June 30, 2014 by jekbrown
Capt Nemo 882
I prefer the Magpul angled foregrip plus a wrap of the sling.
Eric Pate 478
Aside from making it easier to reach around the drum, IMHO the only real practical benefit of a vertical grip is weapon retention. Meaning: its harder for someone else to take the weapon out of your hands. I've tried a few. I eventually got tired of them. I liked the stubbies better than the long ones. Folding is only handy for transport, just like folding stocks. I once had a YHM folding grip that I cut to stubby length and sanded a flat for a pressure pad.
