BREAKING: Obama Administration Bans Import of Izhmash & Kalashniko

Recommended Posts

1st company to End their sale: ROYAL TIGER IMPORTS, $999 to $1299 just this morning.

They are on my BANNED list, don't support companies that raise prices in reaction to political climate.

Edit: they aren't price gouging, just ending their sale as a result of the current political climate to increase profit from sales while consumers buy up the last of what is in stock.

Price is going to do what it does in these things, rise.

Glad I have what I do but will be looking at other platforms now as paying the price now isnt smart.

So let em go up certainly cant stop em or really complain about it to vendors, they didnt do this crap.

Its not price gouging. Its a reaction to market conditions. Let's say that yesterday I had rifles listed at $599. Today by 10am there wasn't a saiga of any flavor in stock to be had from any distributor, (Actually by 9:30 was the case). Why would anyone sell you a gun at yesterdays price when you could double your money on it today? Its simple economics of supply vs demand. Any dealer, especially one that manufactures is going to be paying inflated prices till this is resolved. Its no different than when the price of a barrel of oil jumps and gasoline prices go up the next day. The product in the ground didn't cost more but replacing it will and you don't know by how much it will go up next week.

Yeah I know companies like CTD gouged when the gun ban scare of 2013 happened and got a bad reputation for it. That was just on a rumor of a ban. This is a real deal ban on a certain gun and until it shakes out prices are going to go nowhere but up.

I disagree. Its gouging when you get items at a set price, then mark them up to increase your profit margin overnight. If the distributor jacks the price, then I can see raising yours to keep the margin the same.

Replacement cost of inventory and demand sets the price nothing else.

We aint talking water or ice here after a hurricane.

Suppliers I used that jacked prices for the panic, stuff that went up three times nornal.

They made a quick buck.

Now they wish I would still use them,  fat chance, found better people to buy from

Supply and demand. Very simple economics and capitalism 101. Unless you want some sort of socialist price/wage fixing commie stuff? I am very surprised this is an issue. It may appear we will not be seeing any NEW imported Saigas for a very long time...if ever.

If folks are willing to pay the $price$, then that is what an item goes for. If nobody wants to pay that much, the price will come down. It is an economic balance that made American great. HB of CJ (old coot) Wonder what my stuff will eventually be worth? smile.pngsmile.png

Everyone calm down. I talked to K-Var today. Talked to TJ. He said, and I repeat. a) All Saiga, rifles or shotguns ARE banned.  2) Veprs rifles and shotguns are NOT banned yet. c) Bulgarian AKs are NOT banned. d) Romanian and Yugo AKs are NOT banned. This is coming from K-Var. I figure they would know what they are talking about.

I wonder when they will start the ban on all imports of ammo and firearms. I can think of lots of other rifle platforms that shoot AP ammo that have been converted to pistols. If Obama gets away with Banning Russian guns, I am quite sure he will take as many as he can while his miserable ass is still in office.

This makes me so sick. I hated him ever since I saw him the first time, and I hate him more every time he abuses his office. I am disgusted, and only hope that when a new president comes to office, he will reverse all of this lame crap this idiot has put in place to disarm the American citizens.

But but but...

But I want you to sell your stuff that you bought and paid for at the price I decide! I don't care if I passed up a hundred deals back when stuff was still being imported and your price was low. Now that it's banned I insist you sell me the banned stuff for the same cheap price! I don't care if you'll never be able to replace that inventory. I don't care that people are willing to pay more.

You have to do what I want!!!!

And if you don't you're an asshole!

In this case inventory may never be replaced, or it could take years before these items are available again.

the panic rip offs were not exactly the same thing,

what made me mad were people selling AR mags for $100.00, I needed AR10 308 mags at the time and had no choice to pay $$$ for two of them.

I stopped selling AR15 lowers $140.00 normal retail, when I found people reselling my lowers for $700.00

Other people I know sold their lowers for $500.00 each and made a ton of money one guy I know made several hundred thousand dollars.

He customers absolutely HATE him now!!

Thats screwing people, just because you can.

selling guns that are no  longer imported for a reasonable mark up is just business

Selling anything for a price somebody is willing to pay is just business.

I don't hate a company because they marked up their prices during the panic. There was no gun to my head making me buy. And that's the point that so many seem to miss.

With the exception of fuel or food or water or electricity there is no moral issue with marking up prices.

To all who complain about prices: The issue is that YOU are responsible for having the supplies you need. There is no guarantee that what you need will be available for any price in the future.

If don't take the chance to get what you need when supply is good then shame on YOU.

I get so mad at dumbasses who live in hurricane zones doing nothing to prepare and then when the hurricane is hours away they run around like the idiots they are trying to find plywood and a generator. Stupid fucks! That goddamn home depot was there the whole time, stocked with plywood and generators and flashlights and batteries.
