goldenpony 61
How good are Red Dot Sights for shotguns?
Pro2A 17
Some say awesome, some say needless I got a spendy Eotech512, and couldn't get used to it, so I sold it. It's like a weird psychological adjustment I couldn't make, maybe I didn't give it enough time and use. I'm thinking about giving it more time next time, with like a $99 jobber. Unless you've used them before, try it on the cheap first, they're easy to dump, at least they are here in AZ
Doug Hartley 526
Depends on the quality of the red dot, I've used the Burris Fast Fire (2&3), Cmore STS and Aimpoint H-1 without any problems. Doug
toothandnail 275
Most everybody I know who's tried one, still has it on. I like the Eotech XPS-0 Several others we shoot with use the Burris FF lll Edited July 18, 2014 by toothandnail
montec 164
I'm running a $20-30 dollar sightmark. It's a basic reflex and has been holding up well that I bought one for my 30-30. 30-30 is a max pbr in at 25 yards good to 175 within 2"
lbsrdi 1,078
How are you mounting it? This is an important factor as to weather or not I would recommend one, I use the FF3 and recommend it.
montec 164
Mine is mounted on a UTG Pro(USA made) quad rail with the extended top rail. It wobbles a bit if you push on the rail but for a scatter gun its good. as for shooting slugs haven't sighted it in that close yet. good for clays though.
