Lobo_505 0
Want to buy a Saiga 20, not looking for a SBS. I see many out there, unconverted. Unfortunately none are local. This ban business, doesnt scare me, people are sick of scares that inflate prices, and I really don't think they will pay hyper inflated prices this time. My concerns are the availability of parts, mostly mags and replacement barrels for a 20. There is one I like, but I would need to cut off the rdiculous muzzle device, and I'm not sure if I would be left with a legal barrel. I am also concerned about buying a used gun from the standpoint I don't know where it stands from a 922r standpoint. Any ideasor ifo or suggestions are appreciated Edited July 20, 2014 by Lobo_505
gunman1 1,753
I have thought about selling my S20 in the past, but was pretty sure I wouldn't get anywhere near the money I have in it. It is fully converted and only has about 150 rounds through it. I would sell it if I could get my money out of it, no profit, just what I have in it.
forsaken352 235
Pictures are helpful. 922r from what I understand just states that there can be no more than 10 foreign parts on a rifle/shotgun with "high capacity" magazines. Perhaps it was the addition of U.S. made parts that made an otherwise legal firearm illegal. Could be wrong, going off of memory. As I'm sure you're aware, 18" is the legal length for a shotgun barrel. If you can get a hold of the firearm, measure it using a cleaning rod or something of that nature, bolt closed, to the end of the muzzle. Find out from there whether the permanent muzzle device makes it legal length. As far as replacement parts... I've never seen any spare barrels, bolts, carriers, etc. for the Saiga line. 13withinfinity 0
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=429943442 Suggest you get a bid on that thing before the people lookin' for S12's and VEPER12's start settling for the 20's. I'm glad I got mine back in the day when they were dirt cheap. Been thinking about selling it though since I never use it, lol. Edit: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=430238524 Another for $675 BIN. Best price I've seen for a bit. If I had the money I'd jump on it. Always wanted a 20 to go with the 12. Now that I think of it... a 5.45, 7.62x39, and .223 would go good with the .308... If only I had a million dollars... MIKE20GA 11
$675 is good if you look back ; but 800-900$ is more realistic
