I have two rounds and I think one of them is a dud

Even if one was a dud and the other was an empty case you could still be charged with "intent to acquire ammunition" in DC.

Seriously, does anyone know what today's (7-29) additional sanctions against Russia mean for us?

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/30/world/europe/european-sanctions-russia.html

It means an ass raping for American gun owners.

It will have nearly no affect for the Kremlin.

Meanwhile, brown Santa showed up at my place and left another 2k rounds of gold tiger in the wood shed this afternoon. So .... Yeah.

Could be the last of it, or who knows?

Plan for the worst, hope for the best.

Anyone have a crystal ball? Anyone? Anyone???

Either you shoot very little or you have a semi load of ammo. Cause 10k rounds will only last 20 months if you shoot 500 rounds a month. And that's not a lot of shooting.

So 10s of years. Let's say 20 years since anything less than that is not 10s of years. At 500 rounds a month that's 120,000 rounds. So tell me again how we all should have 10s of years of ammo...

I've reached my limit of what I can afford for the moment. So now it's just wait and see.

Years ago my wife and I adapted to the realities, both current and likely.

Every shot has a purpose and converting money to noise is no longer a pastime.

Only for periodic training are we free with the ammo and then of course the ammo is acquired long before the session.

That includes my own as well as those I informally teach.

Dry fire is now a part of my training, even converted old berdan cases into snap caps with the same approximate weight as live ammo just colored them of course.

If I had decided I needed to shoot more than my current rate I would have bought more.

Every good idea that comes up on how to curtail unneeded use I take into consideration, some I use others I discard.

I have sacrificed buying many things over the years I would love to own, firearms, vacations, and amusements among them, for ammo and components.

Improvise adapt and overcome, that bastard's pen aint winning and I aint near fucked.

They will have to do much better than this shit

Call it what you like.  I'm not going to waste my time debating degrees of definition.

The price of ammo is going up.  And I will shoot less because of that.

Changing the amount of shooting I do because of government infringement meets my definition of getting fucked.

Oh very funny,

The title of this post has already gone viral.

Ammo prices have trippled in the last ten minutes.

Every online dealer everywhere is completely sold out.

All store shelves are empty.

Reloading components cannot be found at any price.

All over the title of a post that's someone's idea of humor.

Nice work, Shan Man, nice work......

Agreed. It's bad enough without practical jokery. In fact, aside from my family, my freedom is one thing I don't joke about.

Sorry to disappoint. I too was joking.

I'm fairly certain Shndlanos' post did not provoke any ammo shortages.
