chevyman097 2,579
"U.S. Officials in talks to bring Ebola infected US citizens back to the US" THey want to bring that shit here! As if its not bad enough. IM sorry for the families of the infected it terrible. But that LAST thing they need to do is risk EVERY man, woman, and child in the US. The risk of it getting here on its own is already bad enough. Now they want to bring it straight to us!!!!! wtf the f**&^ is going on in the world. Have they lost their minds? Or maybe it is tin foil hat time and that is their plan all along. I wasnt reading this directly on CNN but this is a quick reference link. I couldnt find the original story i was reading this morning. The first story i was reading was a little more detailed but now i cant find it go figure. http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/31/health/ebola-outbreak/index.html Edited July 31, 2014 by Chevyman097

DLT 1,646
Meanwhile... the southern border is wide open. And yes, I've seen plenty of Africans crossing it over the many years that I've lived down here. OTM's (other than mexicans) are actually the norm now. Thanks to Obama fucking up the economy, Mexicans have basically stopped coming over. Less than 10% of apprehensions by US Border Patrol are actually Mexicans. But in the last 10 years we have seen everything. The most disturbing of which to me personally have been Iranians, but they make sure not to let those apprehensions leak to the media.

chevyman097 2,579
So for anyone who already read the story or might not have read it yet. They updated the story linked and there is several other reports that they HAVE chartered a flight to go pick up the two Americans with Ebola. This is madness. I dont even know what else to say. So we are bringing two people back to the US with the most dangerous disease in the world! FREAKING SMART MOVE! I dont even know what to think about what is going on in the world these days. But I think its time to get right with whoever you believe in up above. Tin foil time
Big John! 2,062
Ok boys... Keep your seat's and tray table in their upright position's. We're bout' to experience some turbulence. WASHINGTON — The White House says there are no plans to change or cancel an upcoming summit of African leaders in the U.S. despite an Ebola outbreak in Liberia. More than 40 African leaders are set to meet with President Barack Obama in Washington next week. White House spokesman Eric Schultz says the U.S. is aware of reports that American citizens have been diagnosed with Ebola but notes that the Centers for Disease Control has determined there's no significant risk to the U.S. Schultz says Obama is getting regular updates on the outbreak. He says U.S. agencies are providing equipment and other support and that the U.S. is working closely with governments in the region to prevent the virus from spreading. The highly contagious virus is one of the world's most deadly diseases. Edited July 31, 2014 by Big John!

chevyman097 2,579
This outbreak IS out of control. And it will only get worse. Every minute there is new stories of ridiculous carelessness in dealing with it. But what do you expect from the current world administration. This will be interesting and scary to watch unfold. This is a world game changer. And its not stopping anytime soon. Stock up on sanitation supplies. But that honestly wont help much if what they expect is true that its airborne. chevyman097 2,579
So now that I've removed my tin foil. I was going to post a really good video eta: doh thought i had it that time. Link didnt work. But its really funny(I don't know why I'm surprised) that our government and many others can dump millions into foreign war. Vacations and global meetings. But we can't fund the isolation and treatment of an extremely dangerous virus.I think its pretty common knowledge the conditions in west Africa. But the video showed some pretty good examples of the conditions there and why its spreading so easy. They don't have enough supplies and have tonreuse a lot of things washing their boots and gloves and hanging them in the sun to dry. Its pretty sad. They can't even get medications and supplies sent to them. That and long hours with no sleep its no wonder workers are getting sick.It also touched a bit in if(when) it gets to the us and other countries. Its likely the virus could already have traveled outside of africa. Vials have already been taken to CDC facilities in the US. The reported careless handling of specimens is just amazing too. Its as if they think we immune to it here just because we are the us.There is some pretty good facts as to why it likely would not be as bad of an outbreak in a country like the us or UK. Because of technology and isolation capability. But also play inter out how it could be very risky if not contained quickly. Panic and small city hospitals that lack the knowledge to deal with it.But Im Sure Oman has his martial law card ready. Oh there's that tin fol again haha.Anyway. Coffee is kicking in and enough rambling...on to the next topic.Ugh sorry for typos. This phone keyboard kills me. Edited August 1, 2014 by Chevyman097
Long Shot 1,287
Ebola virus in one or another form has been inside the US for several years. One of our customers is a primate research center. A few years ago they had it get away from them and it spread from monkey to monkey that could not have had physical contact. They say they "suspect it could be airborne" It was a huge deal for them but nobody could talk about it. They didn't even tell us while we were working near the sick monkeys until we were done and on our way out. One of the doctors came out and Handed us a sheet of paper warning of the symptoms to watch for. Ya know, just in case. I was furious that they would expose us to that and say nothing until after the fact. I haven't been back there since. The trouble with any virus, as most everybody knows is the way it can mutate and become a whole new disease over night. This shit could very well become something altogether different in the blink of an eye. (Feel free to Re-install tinfoil now)
storm6490 2,768
I don't care if your skin is falling off. Every legal American who is out of bounds should be taken home for any emergency medical situation no matter where they are on the planet. We can contain nuclear reactors, samples of the most deadly and extinct diseases and viruses and other NBC items so we sure as hell can contain our American MEN WOMEN AND CHILDREN. No offense, but FUCK YOU for not wanting to bring our AMERICANS HOME!@ WTF is wrong with you?

That's an emotional reaction, not a rational one. If I had contracted a lethal incurable contagious disease when I was deployed I would not have expected to come home. I didn't put on that uniform and put my life at risk just so that I could bring a deadly disease home to my family. If there was a cure, and that cure was only available on US soil it would be different. Edited August 1, 2014 by Darth Saigus

If there was a cure, and that cure was only available on US soil it would be different. You would have been sent back. I guess you could have offed yourself. Not only will they be safely transported back, they will be used as test subjects for a cure we apparently need these days with all the transport of humans around the globe. You put on your pants one leg at a time just as I did. It may have been a different color, but they were both issued. We volunteered and were not drafted. Would you let your fellow soldier remain in a shit hole country if they had the chance to come home and possibly beat a terrible infection or disease? How do you find the cure? What the fuck are you afraid of? Let's hope that Obummer catches it during the summit... hey, a guy can hope. Yep, we can contain nuclear reactors...like in Japan... XD45 7,124
How do you find the cure? What the fuck are you afraid of? You find a cure by working where the disease is, not by spreading it to as many places as possible. Unless you believe that the more people who are infected the easier it is to stop the disease. What the fuck am I afraid of? I am certain you already know the answer to that. The same thing any rational person is afraid of when it comes to incurable deadly contagious diseases. But it wasn't a question was it? No, it was a statement. A statement that there are only 2 kinds of people. Those that agree with you, and cowards. But I decline your invitation to an internet argument. From what I've seen from you in the past I would expect better than this.
