is a kit the Best option for new saiga like AK47 7.62

Recommended Posts

I am almost done with my saiga conversion and I am already thinking about my next ak. I love the saiga. Being that I replaced so many of the original parts I have to think it would be less expensive just to buy the parts in the first place.

What is the least expensive option to getting the most accurate saiga like ak? 1. Buy all the parts and assemble yourself 2. Buy another AK type that is still being imported?

Most if not all parts kits are from used surplus guns so if accuracy is what you are after keep that in mind. A new production rifle will typically be more accurate than a questionable parts kit. thats what ive been told and i think it makes sense.

Look for a Saiga M or a Vepr for the accuracy. Expect to pay more since the ban. A Bulgy milled gun I have is almost as accurate as my Vepr. That's about as good as your gonna get for AK accuracy in the x39.

You can likely get better accuracy from other calibers though.
