acusports 1
I havent seen this brought up so i wanted to ask. Ive read great reviews on these although the price seems kind of high. Any plans for a 10 round Saiga 12 mag or vepr mag? Edited August 18, 2014 by acusports
haugpatr 972
Price is very reasonable, it is a custom made steel mag. You get what you pay for and US made polymer is fine for the range but not OK for serious work. The only other mag besides factory 8's that would measure up would be the MD-20. garnaz 215
Not when factory runs 80/150 for an 8rd and 150+ for 10rd. With current gouging I mean capitalism going on. Edit: Also md has double stacks coming, hopefully near future. Cost not mentioned but hopefully will be reasonable. Edited August 18, 2014 by garnaz
csspecs 1,987
It was planned. However we require longer springs which I have not ordered yet.. So at least a few months.
Jpanzer 1,265
So, theoretically speaking, would a mag spring from say a 10 round Pro Mag in your steel 8 round mag body allow 10 rounds to be loaded in your mag?
KennyFSU 249
Would definitely buy a couple of 10-rounders, love the 8s.

Nope. Mag body needs to be longer. We need the longer spring for the longer magazine body to function correctly. Plus I have some other work to do before that can happen.

So it might be a reality soon. Thats awesome and i will definitely be buying several when you release them thanks!
Vance665 225
How much longer would a 10 rounder be? I'm not sure the extra length would be worth it. The 8s are just a tiny bit longer than a traditional AK 30 rounder. I would pick up a couple anyway, after I get more 8s.
Gzus Kryst 53
I don't know his setup, but if it requires new dies I don't think "soon" is reality. I imagine He is focusing on the vepr 12 mags as they seem to be closest to production from what I have seen. Especially with the future of the market clouded by the EO, it would seem prudent to finish up the projects you have the most time and money in before investing in new dies. But as far as the 8 rounders go I have two and I'm a fan, also have 2 vepr .308 mags I'm happy with. Edited August 19, 2014 by Gzus Kryst
csspecs 1,987
It won't require new dies. Our plates can make everything from a 2 rd up to about 13 rd. Just need: Larger body blanks Longer springs We also need to run them on our still incomplete 150 ton press... So reasonable soon, but there are other things ahead of it.
