New Ordinance for Firearms & "Explosions"...

Recommended Posts

Well they did it to us here in NC. Sneaked some new legislation through and managed to get this shit passed in Harnett County just south of me. I'm sure we haven't heard the last of this kind of shit.

http://www.harnett.org/downloads/ProposedFirearmOrdinance.pdf

I am heading out now to attend this town meeting they didn't tell hardly anyone about unless they saw it in the same little smalltime newspaper my friend did down there. Meeting him there to help stand up for his and all of our rights because this shit is just the beginning....

I urge anyone else close enough to do the same. Here is the address:

102 East Front St. Lillington NC 27546

Sorry for the late notice I just found out this morning and have spent the entire day trying to spread the word on social media and local gun oriented sites, as well as calling the TV news crews and giving them all this info.

Wow man that really sucks. Seems like the libtards are tryin to claim the countryside as well. Makes me wonder how enforceable it would end up being tho if one were out in the sticks. Regardless it needs to be fought against. Your land is your land to do with as you damn well please.

THAT, Sir, is a bullshit ordinance designed to disarm and/or criminalize anyone in the area. It would essentially cause a compete cessation of ANY firearms use in the entire County.

Fight it.

Well I am very happy to say we fucking WON!!! After blowing the minds of the powers that be in there with the MASSIVE showing of complete disgust with that bullshit, the public hearing ended with a Motion to "Table" this crap until a committee of 10 knowledgeable people and officials can work together to re-write this document where it makes more sense and does NOT stomp on our rights as good hard working rural property owners and family men / women. It was made perfectly clear to them WHO they work for and of the fact we as Americans have every right to train our kids, hunt, and shoot any damned time we feel like it within reason on our own property, or our neighbor's property with permission.  I sat through over three hours of one after another pissed off resident going to the podium and letting them have both barrels. It was fucking AWESOME!! I got a bunch of pics I need to upload and some video as well. Fortunately the big local news network here in my county (Wake) actually listened to mine and other requests to have a camera there in the room for this. I wish they had panned the group that couldn't fit inside, there were at least three times as many outside had to hear the whole thing on remote speakers! They said it was the biggest group of people ever assembled there for a meeting or hearing, and keep in mind as we brought to their attention, most everyone there had just heard about it through the grapevine the night before when I did.

Here's a link to the 11 o'clock news I got home just in time to see myself on with my buddy there right in front of the camera.  Jim Dorman REALLY let em have it! He was the only one there who they had to remind to calm down and lower his voice at one point, or he would be escorted out,,,lol! Fuck Yeah 2 A baby!  We owned that hearing tonight!

I told myself before I left I was gonna try and be good and not flip anyone off but damn if the very first thing I did was accidentally flip off the camera while showing my buddy one of the points they tried to make that was BS!  haha.gif

Thanks y'all it was an immensely rewarding experience and a BIG awakening for the Board Of Commissioners as to what is really going on and how many more conservative voters there are in a rural commuinty than the libtard assholes who they are trying to quiet down through "feel good legislation". It was like being smack dab in the middle of what is so wrong with America today, only on a much smaller scale.

Harnett County is a farming community rich in heritage and old southern roots & customs. Those people were "Mad as hell" and "are not gonna take it any more"!   nonono.gif   Each speaker made that very clear.  super_man.gif

It was a packed house full of folks from all walks of life. Got to hear everyone state their own bitch and how it effected them personally due to the lay of their land and proximity to roads, buildings, and easements. Where they shoot and how each has their berms and lanes setup. How many neighbors they have that shoot and what types of weapons, how often and how many rounds they shoot weekly. Some were redneck farmers, some blue collar workers, state employees and construction workers, many farmers and hunters. We heard from County, State, AND Federal officers in the room who were just as unhappy about this and I mean on a home property personal level, not to mention also knowing it would be THEM asked to enforce this stupid BS on a largely rural and (as became even more evident during...lol) Extremely well armed and proficient populace! There were active duty and retired military people everywhere, all very passionate and to the point, as well as well versed in actual firearms knowledge. Hell even a young girl who was there with her uncle in the photo here (Purple Heart) who got up and spoke about being trained since about 5 years old with Ar-15's, .45 pistols and everything else. She said they shoot tannerite all the time...lol.  027.gif

I'm telling ya I just had a fuckin' blast! I hear all these country folk living out here on the 4th and on New Years, as well as just random blasting all the time in all directions around me. Many times when we start shooting the Aks and Saigas, it's only a few minutes before we start hearing shots at other nearby private ranges. I love it. Well last night was killer because we all got to meet each other and hear everyone speak, and every last person who wanted to say something was allowed to and thanked. As people got to speak in the room, they filtered out and let those outside come in and get their turn. Many even got up more than once as they thought of new things while hearing others.

Very cool.  032.gif

The truck outside with the Flag belongs to my bud that runs the local gun shop 2 miles up the road. Oops looks like I left the parking lights on in my 4 Runner...lol,

Good times! SUPPORT our rights every time you get a chance! Clay and I here are not even from that county and we drove down there for it. This shit will spread like wildfire if allowed to pass anywhere out in the country.

I'm wondering what brought on that legislation? Does some zealot just want to be anti-gun or are people's houses getting shot up all the time in that county?

Actually according to what one of the Commissioners stated (after the onslaught and with a very looong face LOL) was all the calls about Tannerite.

Many of us there who run in gun circles though knew the real reason was originally they started a long time ago trying to shut down an outdoor public range down there called Drake's Landing. They have been giving that poor guy hell for many moons now due to complaints from yuppy inplants living nearby and constantly complaining about the noise. Then they started fabricating stories of bullets being found on their property. The older gentleman who has the Santa look kinda was VERY outspoken about that bullshit and called them out on it in their face. Because of them Drakes Landing already lost their rifle range.  :(

Here's a link to a lengthy discussion on the issue on another gun forum...

It was the same here many years back when the city tried to close down the duck hunting ordinance.  A few spots were closed due to repeated problems of shot on roofs, and bad behavior of some teenage hunters.  And hunters did agree about closing the problem areas.  But we kept everything else open by sheer numbers.  And that's why I can enjoy duck hunting in my backyard within city limits!

We haven't had a council meeting packed like that in years!

Show up in force, that's all it takes!

That makes sense. It's like the douche bags that move out to the country next to a small race track or airport and then from 1 day start working to get it shut down... What a bunch of fucks. Was there anyone at the meeting SUPPORTING this agenda? It sounds like you guys ran the show.

I saw that it included a restriction on shooting 200ft within a private road. That one piece of BS stood out above all others.

That and the night time hunting stood out to me in a pretty huge way. Wouldn't that just about end wild hog hunting in a state that has a rising population that needs culled?

Oh the shit runs even deeper on the political level. Forgot to mention that Drakes Landing range is owned and operated by a FORMER County Commissioner. Yup same ol big city politics and BS, right here in a tiny farming community. Makes me sick.

Yeah me three on that one. How can a simple controlled size / power thing like a cherry bomb or M-80 be banned for so damned long, hell in my state even firecrackers & bottle rockets... then this shit comes out you can buy and mix together just as much as you want and have a "blast" doing it?

I haven't even wanted to attract extra attention to my range by scaring the neighborhood so I haven't even used but a small amount here once when a friend brought some "Southern Thunder". Only time the cops have come here for an explosion my damned neighbors next door set off what was prolly 5 lbs of it right next to my range one day while I was up here in my office. Shook my house! I had no clue what they had if it was C-4 even! Well after an hour a second one went off and I decided to get some of my fun guns out and took a truckload down there in MY yard to play with. Barely got started shooting then who rolls up on MY property but the friggin tactical team from the sheriff's dept wearing vests & totin' M-4s & tac pump shotties. Told em wait ya'll that wasn't me I was just getting started a few minutes ago sighting in my rifles on my property. Those big ass explosions you were called for came from over there >>>>

Ya think that mattered hell no. They hassled me for almost an hour and looked over everything I had down there with a fine toothed comb & calling in numbers. Finally left here feeling outgunned lol. Didn't even care to go over & ask the neighbors about the explosions. Told me oh it was probably only tannerite or some kind of exploding targets.

GEEEZ!!!  Ya think???  MAN I was pissed!  anger.gif
