MT Predator 2,294
I know there are a shit ton of posts about this topic everywhere but I would like to know what the legal answer is regarding a SBR AK pattern weapon needing to comply with 922r. I asked the Tech Branch a long time ago and was told my Draco SBR needed to comply even though it would be registered as a NFA firearm. A SOT builder told me the letter doesn't mean shit, they go by the regulations book. So, from the SOT side of the forum, what is the correct answer? Does an AK SBR need to comply with 922r or not? Lone Star Arms 2,047
SBRs, and SBSs are Title II firearms, and are regulated under NFA, not GCA. 922® compliance is a GCA requirement. There is no 922® compliance requirement under NFA. Just make sure your NFA tax stamps are in order. Mike
