Jon24 0
I picked up a saiga 109 a couple of months ago. I've been having problems with it not cycling correctly. I took it on vacation and it was catching every shell. I had taken it out a few weeks earlier and it was working fine. I disabled it and cleaned it before taking it on vacation. I brought it back home and re cleaned it and used a new lube (rem. dry lube) and I took it out yesterday and it is cycling now except for about every 8th or 9th round. Dose anyone know what is up? YOT 3,743
Yep, same problems so many of us here have had. Start reading the stickies, because the remedies are already written. Read them again and again, then ask questions. We'll help, but please help yourself first.
Wagnikov 186
What gas setting is it on? What ammo are you running? Do you hold the gun like a girl? Is it "converted". Yes/no If yes look up "profiling the hammer" If you enjoy the hammer profiling project look up "profiling/polishing the bolt" Answer the above questions Check your progress see if your gun cycles If no move on to "gas block mods/redrilling gas ports Give feed back on forum with pictures Check your progress see if your gun cycles Ask lots of question, more important have pictures and respond if someone asks you a ? There are no terminally ill saigas. If you're willing to stick with it, ALL of these guns will run any ammo you want.
mscottrogers 56
What they said and If thats a pic of your gun in your provile, take off the quad rail and use a stock 5 round mag then go from there. It could be anything from the quad rail is pinching, the mag is hanging up, its not boken in, etc, etc Ya good luck, start with it as stock as you can and get a good base line. Make sure the puck is clean and dont lube it. Make sure your gas ports are clean too and read
