SaigaSlinger 61
here's a pretty good list of who might run kind of the good the bad and the ugly, mostly just bad ugly possible what evers http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/215523-the-65-people-who-may-run-for-president-in-2016 looking the list over a 2nd black president might not be bad if its Ben Carson or Allen West. As much as i loathe the most precious of the protected class, I'd go with those two as well. Especially after Allen West got the molon labe tattoo.

mostholycerebus 415
There are alot of people on that 65 person list I would love to see in the administration, dunno if they are right as president. Every pundit says Christie has a chance, but I for one will NEVER vote for him after he got Obama re-elected. Ben Carson is a great pick. I worry that Obama may have ruined it for black presidents for a generation though. Overall, i'd be happy with a Paul/Carson run. However, this election cant be about who we want. The Dems have such a foothold at all levels, and such a HUGE ignorant voting base, at this point we need to push forward whoever will win. Not the most 'republican' candidate that the primaries always push, we need someone who will win the moderates and not rile up the Dem voters. Let ANY republican win, make political changes, put in a few Justices, fix immigration, and this country at least has a shot. The next president will pick 2-4 Justices, and determine where the vast mexican socialist hordes end up, and THAT will fundamentally change this country more than anyone else in modern history. As long as its not Christie. Edited September 12, 2014 by mostholycerebus

Big John! 2,062
The thing is big john. My head isn't in the sand. I'm well aware of what's going on in the world and that's what has brought me to where I'm at. There is nothing more we can do. Things are too cluster f***ed to undo. By all means I hope I like have to eat those words one day. I hope you can tell me I told you so. You read me all wrong bro... I'm not disagreeing with you. I was much happier not caring. I'm hanging in there for now as our races for gov. and senator are pretty damn important to me. As for POTUS, I think we are too far gone to elect the radical it would take to save us. looking the list over a 2nd black president might not be bad if its Ben Carson or Allen West. I heard one of these ass clowns filling in for Hannity a while back. Whichever of the two it was took a black caller and went from normal english into his black persona and this turned my fucking stomach. I knew at this point that his uber US BS was nothing more than that. BS! Edited September 12, 2014 by Big John!

Hopefully it's Rand Paul or at least a fiscal conservative/social moderate. I'm guessing that's where most of us stand. IMO, it's really too early to even speculate. I'd rather see a thread pushing people to get to the polls in November. While it will not fix things, getting the senate just might ensure our very survival till 2016 or longer.

lbsrdi 1,078
Saiga slinger/ The Republicans are damn near as socialist as the Dems.(social security, Medicare, government schools) I would hardly call a vote for any of the recent candidates a vote against socialism. You want to waste your vote voting for Republicans, he wants to waste his vote on libertarians, and others waste theirs on democrats. The vote would first have to have some value to be considered a waste, so I don't think a vote can be wasted. My voting record; Harry Browne, Bush, McCain, Romney. Browne was the only one that I voted for on principal, the rest were voting for the lesser of two evils. It will take one hell of a candidate for me to even waste my time giving consent to the whole scam.
YOT 3,743
Until there are as many third party electors in Congress and the House, there will be no chance of a president in any parties other than Democratic or Republican. Hillary will be busy with Bengazi biting her ass, and Fast and Furious will be what the Dems will be running FROM - I do not think that any of the front runners from either Party will be in the running in '16. Maybe Rand Paul, but that is still a 'maybe'.
