Staplehead 2
So I am planning on painting up my saiga with Rustoleum engine enamel, and I cannot possibly fit the receiver and barrel into my small oven. How long will it take to cure the stuff and will it still come out alright?
Mullet Man 2,114
Leave the oven door open. Put it in at an angle with the door mostly closed. It will still get hot enough to bake it.
Staplehead 2
Thank you! Was just about to ask if that would work as well! I shall do that then.
YOT 3,743
As one of our business members said to me, if it's painted it's easy to repair scratches and chip. Its a lot harder to do with a baked finish.
Sim_Player 1,939
Rustoleum is going to give you a "blue-ish" tint. If you decide that you don't like it just paint right over the top with duracoat 1634. I've been down this road before. Good luck.

canoecanoe 63
Or you might consider using the real thing: http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showth...+russian+paint Here is a review: http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=190216 A little pricey, but as I said, it's the real deal.
