MT Predator 2,294
News out of Mobile, AL reporting a patient with Ebola like symptoms. They were trying to get a camera shot to see if Hazmat suits were being donned. No such shot but they did get a couple of kiddie pools outside the hospital on camera. (Decontamination). chevyman097 2,579
Havnt read the whole thread so no idea if its been stated already. But I was reading this morning about the protection they were told to use and it was a joke. They said Duncan was placed in a open area for several hours. He was projectile vomiting and had dhiarrea. The nurses were caring for other patients at the same time they were caring for Duncan. This is just a huge cluster fuck. There is no telling how many are infected already and havnt had signs. The second nurse to be tested positive was in a flight from Cleveland the day before she reported symptoms. This shit(call me crazy maybe its tin foil time) could be the next great 100 year kill off.

Isn't it the low paid, low skill, nurses assistants who are sent to clean up the poop and puke? I'm betting there was no "protocol" whatsoever in place when Duncan first entered the hospital. The damage has been done and now they have to TRY to contain it. This could be "bad".

Capt Nemo 882
Nuking the affected countries would kill ~ 20 million, but keep the billions safe, pissing off the liberals. Nuking the affected countries would kill and cremate the bodies at the same time. No families paying bribes for their ebola corpse to spread the disease. No vultures, cats, bats, dogs, hogs, and especially rabbits, eating the infected corpses and spreading it. Nuking the affected countries would make quarrantine efforts easier by reducing the size of the areas needing quarrantine. It's easy to quarrantine a village of 100 than quarrantine a village of 50,000. Nuking the affected countries will prevent paniced/infected persons from leaving the countries and slow any survivors down to walking speed. Nuking the affected countries will prevent islamic terrorists from easy access to infected persons. Nuking the affected countries gives us a reason to test the effectiveness of our nuclear arsenal without Test Ban Treaty problems. Nukes do go bad with age. And I'm sick of the old stock footage! Did I say it would piss off the liberals? Only downside: Odumbo would look like he had balls. Maybe we should have a coup first. Found my copy of Andromeda Strain on VHS. Capt Nemo 882
Jim, Just remember when we get the 1.4 million infected by the end of the year and 2.6+ million Liberians panic and scatter to the 4 winds infecting everything in their path, it's your fault! When all of Africa is infected, it's your fault! When it spreads through the Middle East and Europe, it's your fault! When it kills a billion people in India, it's your fault! When your family is infected, it's your fault! And then I hope you remember that I wanted to nuke them and wipe them out before they could run and spread the disease any further. So who's the crazy muthafucker?

The damage has been done and now they have to TRY to contain it. This could be "bad". When I worked in maintenance at a retirement community, that was the process. The nurses were responsible for any body fluid containment, but the maintenance guys were always called to clean up after the dead bodies and those that left the "trail of tears" from the bedroom to the bathroom. I can't tell you how many times I cleaned one path that a resident left because she refused to wear underwear. She also smoked so the smell of cigarettes and poop was delightful. If we refused, there was the door and don't let it hit you in the ass on the way out.

How is nuking them going to help us one bit at this point. All the pain we are feeling from this is self inflicted. This disease seems like a real easy one to fix. But it is simply not being done.
