SHOTGUN MESIAH 855
http://www.centerfiresystems.com/MKA-1919BX.aspx Where does it say on this page it is an XN model. Sure the pictures have the XN version but nowhere in the description does it say XN. BX is not an XN model. I would like to know because if this is an XN model they are selling at that price I will buy one now. Edited October 2, 2014 by SHOTGUN MESSIAH
csspecs 1,987
The product photo show an XN model number.. So... Not sure. A phone call may be wise.
Shandlanos 1,470
I'm pretty ignorant on the subject - what are the differences between the two models?
james lambert 3,059
On the xn they moved the gas system rearward about .700 the carrier and the drive block had to change to accommodate moving the gas block. The bolt was also changed in the xn, the cam block on the carrier was moved to center , and the bolt lock in the bolt moved to center as well. The XN bolt is weaker due to this change and has a higher failure rate than early guns AKA akdal. the drive block in the xn is also weaker than the early style and also has a higher failure rate. A few other subtle changes like a metal trigger are also present in XN I recently got 25 MKAs from centerfire xn version I dont think any early guns are in hand at any distributors We have a stock of XN drive blocks both original and our HD drive block (4140 chrome moly steel)
bigfoot750 0
Ive tried searching but came up with good threads turning to pissing matches. As far as money goes it appears this is a great deal. Are there any parts that must be upgraded or to have as spares for the xn guns? Is it worth keeping the 400 and putting towards a vepr 12 or s12? It appears i could get a metal lower and handguard and still be under a $1000(any hidden costs)? Sorry to bring up the same questions but looking for straight answers. THanks
Blackstuff 2
Don't forget you'll have to factor in the cost of a lower parts kit, an AR trigger set, a stock and a pistol grip.
