yugritin 1
ok let me start by saying I am no stranger to saiga conversions. have done atleast 6 now...love it. I have threaded the barrel on a few of em. Threaded my barrel for 17x1 long before dinzag or CNCwarrior had the tools to turn the diameter down. want to fit my 308 with some form of AR10 muzzle attachment. how much of the barrel(length wise) should I turn down to 5/8 and then thread it? RED333 1,025
My advice is get the brake you want and measure it for your answer. I threaded mine and timed the cut so the brake stopped at the right spot to line up like I wanted. No need for a crush washer.
netpackrat 566
A gunsmith friend turned mine to 9/16-24, which gave full thread engagement with the flash hider.
