metalgodlb 30 Posted October 4, 2014 Report Share Posted October 4, 2014 I only have an m77 and am curious if any parts interchange. Firing pins appear similar but I don't have a PSL to compare. Also wonder about bolt and bolt carrier. I know of the obvious caliber differences (although I do believe they made a PSL in .308) and understand they aren't identical but if some parts are the same that could save us M77 owners some grief on finding spare parts. mancat 2,368 Posted October 5, 2014 Report Share Posted October 5, 2014 (edited) The PSL bolt carrier will not be compatible, as the camming surfaces are wrong for the M77 bolt and lugs - even if the two carriers were the same length. The PSL and M77 have different bolt lug sizing/position and therefore have different lockup camming geometry. Can't say for sure about the firing pin, but IMO you would be lucky to find that they are the same. Doubtful. Personally I would not expect any of these parts to ever fail.
