SmilinEd 364
Friend of mine wanted to buy a Saiga x39 but with the market dry we will have to look at other manufacturers/models. Any advice would be appreciated.
mostholycerebus 415
o-pap, n-paps are priced very well for the quality. Veprs arent crazy priced yet considering the quality bump over saigas, if you want the best.
imarangemaster 315
The nice thing about Saigas is that they are made in Russia at Izhmash Arsenal, who have been making AK platforms since 1946. They are based on the Current Russian Military AK74 and and Ak103 platform. They have hammer forged barrels with chrome linings. They are a REAL AK, not just a clone or copy. They also tend to be more accurate than all these cobbled together copies. Edited October 7, 2014 by imarangemaster
BigChongus 765
What price range is he looking at? If price isn't a huge issue, I'd look into the SLR-107FR. If he's in the $5-600 range, +1 to the Zastavas.

HighPlainsDrifter 466
Stay away from the $600+ unconverted Iz-132's. In the end the numbers don't add up.
mbjku 0
I think you could get Bulgarian AK very easy, they are great but about twice more expensive to Saiga 7.62. Also clones are clones, I prefer Russian made AK rifles, otherwise I would shot from my AR's which is also great. I got two Saiga's this year and paid $550 each, all because I knew that ban will be for long. Store are empty already on Saiga and only private sale is possible. Cobra 76 two 2,677
I have a buddy with a really sweet one he's trying to sell. I know how sweet the action is because I reworked all the internals myself when I helped him convert it. PM me if interested, he's looking to sell or trade for an AR 10 I believe.
