BigChongus 765
They're AK-74 parts. K-Var, Apex, Russian surplus, Midway, etc will have them.
bcmsaiga 8
Oh cool so any ak-74 extractor will work. Thanks. So do you think ammo is going to stay around? I know the red army standard stuff is not russian so it should stay afloat ya?
bcmsaiga 8
Also I remember looking at my friends 762x39 saiga and his bcg was beating the hell out of his rear trunnion so he put this blue buffer in there..will that blue buffer thing put any stress on the receiver and will i need one in my 545x39 saiga? I definatly dont want mine looking like his because I plan on shooting thousands of rounds through this thing and it needs to last a life time. i doubt my friends will last another 5000. thanks. Sim_Player 1,939
No AK should need a buffer. It could be a weak recoil spring. At .20 cents a round, it would take a couple of thousands of $$$ of ammo to wear out a good rifle, assuming that it was built right. Have him take it to a good gunsmith, before something bad happens!
