Saigaman1825 0
I was wondering if you all would be so kind to pull your trusty ak out of the safe or from under your couch or wherever you may keep it and take a picture of your rear trunnion. Also could you and would you be so kind to please post estimated round count?

Spikester 93
Looks like that trunion has had a oversized piston used in it without proper lubrication.

imarangemaster 315
I am running a Buffer Technologies recoil buffer on my current 7.62x39 Saiga since the beginning, so no signs of wear on the trunnion. Prior Saigas (and other AKs) I had in the past, I didn't run buffers. After a few thousand rounds, you could see some marring on the Saigas, but no real deformation. I did have a WASR that was beat to piss after a 1,000 rounds, though. A folding stock Yugo M70 I had showed about the same marring as a Saiga. I suspect Russian Saiga steel is harder stuff (after all, it is rumored that they make their AKs from the armor grade steel from cut up German tanks. My ARs have buffers built in, as does my PTR91 (HK91 clone). With that in mind, while an AK strictly speaking does not need one, it does prevent wear and takes some of the snap out of the recoil... imarangemaster 315
I did think that everyone here was an adult. Obviously I was mistaken.... How an asshole is relevant to a Saiga forum is beyond me, unless the person posting is .... oh never mind. We won't go there... The mods here are fairly liberal, but that is pushing the limit. I have seen people banned for less.

BigChongus 765
Guys, I'm fairly certain this isn't SS/shane_eld/Libtard/AK_syndicate/any other aliases I'm forgetting. He forms sentences and uses capitalization WAY too competently.

JoeAK 337
Guys, I'm fairly certain this isn't SS/shane_eld/Libtard/AK_syndicate/any other aliases I'm forgetting. He forms sentences and uses capitalization WAY too competently. bcmsaiga is the one I was thinking of. He came here asking about buffers and rear trunnions, wondering if he damaged his bolt carrier by dropping it a few feet onto a carpeted floor, claiming he had 80k through a 7.62x39, but it was at his dad's so he couldn't get pictures. On the off chance this IS a new member, here's a link to the pictures I posted in one of his threads.. http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/95681-how-do-you-feel-about-buffers/?p=1003207
