faststang90 18
I have a 3 5 round magazine and 2 of them say 20 x 70 and the other one says 20 x 76. what is the difference ?
drkstrw 15
20 x 70 is 2 3/4 inch shells and 20 x 76 is 3 inch shells.
haugpatr 972
70 and 76 refer to length of the shell in mm the mags are designed for, here we would use 2 3/4" or 3" but they are on the metric system

faststang90 18
when I got my gun it came with the 2- 20x70. I was told it used 2 3/4 shells. I have been having problems with it taking 2 3/4 shells. I looked at the gun today and it says 20x 76 on the side of the gun. so should I be using 3 inch shells? drkstrw 15
No idea on that i had issues with mine feeding and ejecting 2 3/4 shells. I sent it to JTE Engineering and had Jack do his reliability service on it. Was worth every penny.
faststang90 18
I had some 13 round but they broke . I have the 10 round ones they sell but the gun does not work great with them. since I cant get any good ones I may sell the 20 and get a 12 gauge so I can get better parts for it. Wagnikov 186
Unleer I missed something, You really need to look at cspec metal mags. They breathe life into the 20ga. They are not the cheapest mag out there, but they are the best aftermarket mag!
faststang90 18
this is the one I had. http://stores.csspecs.com/saiga-20-gauge-10rd/
Wagnikov 186
What were you using for ammo? My 20 gauge saiga is one of my top favorite guns. I would hate to have you give up on the firearm before you got to the bottom of the magazine issue
faststang90 18
I was using AA ammo when I had the 13 round mag and it worked good. im trying the 10 round ones and trying Spartan 20 gauge oo buckshot.
csspecs 1,987
What is the nature of the malfunction. Its possible that a tweak here or there will clear it up.. There are a couple adjustments that are possible to adjust the angle of feed for your shotgun. One thing I can say for sure is that each shell must be placed behind the rim track.. If one shell is in front you get nothing but jams until its out.
TxAgSaiga1979 16
I have a 20 ga that came with 2-3/4 mags. I did a pistol grip conversion, and bought CSSPECS steel 10-rd mags. They have worked great for me when shooting 2-3/4" shells. It IS a bit difficult to get shells to extract when I rack the bolt by hand, but I never have issues when firing. setting 1 for buckshot, setting 2 for birdshot and target loads, feeds 100%. I have not yet (but plan in the future) to buy one of the 3" mags and experiment with magnum rounds.
