imarangemaster 315
Check you tube videos and some videos from Dinzag arms on bullet guides. Careful with the tap.. Only go 1/8 to 1/4 turn at a time then back off half turn. Good luck. Here is a great web page about conversion... http://www.saiga-ak.com/conversion/ Edited January 23, 2015 by imarangemaster

philrab 57
The Youtube vids are your friend. Otherwise, make sure you have a stout drill bit for the rivets, they are made of melted down tank armor I swear, and a good sturdy set of punches. The only tricky part is drilling out the rear most rivet for the trigger guard (hard to drill that bastard at an angle through the butt stock mounting hole without scarring the hole a little bit) and tapping the hole for the bullet guide. Blue Loctite on everything, though Red wouldn't hurt on the bullet guide. BTW, I have roughly the same kit on my 7.62 with the Warsaw length fixed stock. All very nice fitting stuff. The Magpul may require a little bit of internal filing or some judicious force to fit into place if you opted for the billet trigger guard like I did, I believe it's a little thicker than most. I just rammed it into place and tightened the provided screw no issues. Likewise, the butt stock may take some gentle filing on the sides to fit into place, and a bit of dremel work on the bottom most portion where it'll want to interfere with CSS's bolt on trigger guard (just needs a bit of clearance to clear the screw head.) Spacehog 2,218
When drilling out the rivets, get a good drill bit, and go slow. If you drill at high speed, you will work harden the rivet. Keep the drill speed low so that you are still removing metal but not getting the rivet to hot. This will make the removal much quicker and easier. The step by step videos at CSS are also very good. Good luck.
imarangemaster 315
I ground the heads of the rivets all the way down, then punched them out, supporting the inside bottom of the receiver with a deep socket centered around the rivet on the opposite side of the punch. Only thing I had to drill was the one weld on the trigger guard. Edited January 24, 2015 by imarangemaster
Salps 1
Well if you order kit #6 from Carolina shooters supply, plan on some dremel grinding on butt stock and Magpul pistol grip. Otherwise it's a great kit for converting your Saiga.
